Meet Chef Sanjana Patel, the Pastry Queen of India


Sanjana Patel, the executive chef of a popular restaurant recently bagged the first “Pastry Queen of India” award in Gurgaon. The grand event was conducted by the Academy of Pastry Arts in association with Remini Flera Italy and Elle & Vire. After few days of competition, Chef Sanjana Patel was being crowded as the winner of the pastry competition. Sanjana Patel will also proudly represent the upcoming Pastry Championship to be held on January 2016.

Task Offered at the Day

It is believed that seven women took part in the pastry competition and there was so much curiosity among the viewers to see the pastry winner. The challengers were required to make a sugar showpiece which includes a sculpture out of sugar, coffee dessert in a glass, chocolate-based cake and a tart. The first day was spent in preparing the mixture while the next day went in applying the finishing touches.

Judges in the Competition

The grand competition was valued by some of the great personalities like Chef Dinesh Rawat , Chef Thomas and Chef Avijit Ghosh. All these judges below to top hotel chains in India. It is a great news to have them in the selection of a tough pastry competition.

Sanjana’s Key to Success

The Queen of Pastry Sanjana revealed that her hard work and training helped to achieve the grand success. She has confirmed that she will be participating in the World Pastry Championship too.

To appreciate her talent, the Academy of Pastry Arts India has planned to offer a special training for Sanjana. It is great to hear the Sanjana will be the first woman in India to take part in the World Pastry Championship.
