On Mattu Pongal, you will be surprised to see the cows and bullocks decorated with tinkling bells and colour. Two major activities take place on this day such as Manji Virattu and Jallikattu. A group of people will chase cattle in Manji Virattu while Jallikattu involves a serious fight by the young men towards an angered bull.
